Rick Lucas – A Master Photographer & Our Studio Founder
Rick Lucas is still available to personally photograph a limited number of weddings each year. Rick will photograph your wedding in his exciting new photo- journalistic style, which features a more candid rapid-fire coverage of the day’s events, with just the right mix of traditional posed photographs. He has 35 years of photography experience and often shoots over 500 exposures on a 6-hour wedding packages. Rick uses state of the art digital cameras and usually works with a trainee or a photographer’s assistant who will double light specific photographs and will also assist with the candid photography. Rick is available to photograph 6, 7 and 8 hour packages.
An additional $300.00 will be added to your costs if Rick Lucas photographs any 6 hour wedding package, and an additional $500.00 will be added for photography coverage on 8 hour packages.
Upgrade – To Our Most Requested Videographers & Photographers
Kevin DeNoma has been videotaping weddings for our studio for over 20 years. He is the studio’s most experienced and talented videographer. This highly experienced video artist can be reserved to videotape your wedding or special event. He works with our state of the art, broadcast type digital cameras. AMAZING QUALITY!
Jonathan Hornsby is one of our most requested wedding photographers. We have never had a customer that didn’t absolutely love him and his photography. He works quickly, is highly skilled, creative and fun to work with.
An additional $100.00 will be added to your package, to secure Kevin’s services.
An additional $200.00 will be added to your package, to secure Jonathan’s services.
Package Deposits
A $350.00 Package deposit is required to reserve a photographer or videographer for your wedding date. A combination package, including both photography and video, can be reserved with a single deposit of $400.00. This booking deposit is non-refundable but will be applied in total to the cost of your wedding package. Your second and final deposit is due, in total, 3 weeks prior to the date of the wedding and is also non-refundable. Money for additional photographs, parent albums, additional proofs and duplicate videotapes is due at the time you place your wedding order. We’re sorry, but no portion of your order can be delivered before the total balance due has been paid in full. WE ACCEPT MAJOR CREDIT CARDS.
Additional Charges
There is a $45.00 Transportation and Fuel Cost Charge, to cover the steadily increasing costs. (Our package costs have not risen.) There is an additional per photographer charge for weddings that take place outside of Cincinnati and the attached suburbs. Please see our rate map on queencityphoto.com, for details. This charge will be added to your wedding contract. There is a $25.00 per hour additional charge for weddings that take place on days celebrated as national holidays. There is a $25.00 per person location fee for each photographer or videographer working in a downtown area, where parking costs & transportation of equipment, and security becomes a factor. There is a $100.00 Split Wedding Charge for weddings that have a 3-hour or longer break between the end of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception. This Split allows the customer to stop the clock, and not be charged for down time between wedding events. The package clock begins again at the start of the reception.
Package Time
Our photographers and videographers are instructed to strictly adhere to the time constraints of the package you select. Your photographer may need to start as many as 3 hours before the ceremony begins and spend another 3 hours at your reception in order to provide the level of coverage that you require. Your videographer may need to start as early as 2 hours before the ceremony and spend at least 2 ½ hours at the reception to capture the major events. It is not always possible for customers to purchase additional time on the day of the wedding. Please select your wedding package carefully!
Your Wedding Order
The prices on our current price list apply only if customers place their wedding order within 90 days of the receipt of their wedding proofs or videotape. Orders placed after 90 days will be billed from the Queen City Photography & Video price list that is in effect on the day that the order is placed. Package prices are included. Wedding Negatives, Digital Images & Videotape Masters are retained for 5 years. After this time expires, it may not be possible to complete your order.
